Journal Writing Prompt: Balance
“If we put the emphasis upon the right things, if we live the life that is worth while and then fail, we will survive all disasters, we will out-live all misfortune. We should be so well balanced and symmetrical, that nothing which could ever happen could throw us off our center, so that no matter what misfortune should overtake us, there would still be a whole magnificent man or woman left after being stripped of everything else.”
~Orison Sweet Marden
In your journal, write about where the emphasis of your life is. Are you putting emphasis in your daily life on being well balanced and symmetrical, or is your intention on living a well balanced & symmetrial life, but, that intention somehow gets lost in the shuffle as soon as your day begins?
Daily journal writing prompt bonus: What do you do to keep your life balanced? Or, if your intention of balance is lost as soon as your day begins, what *can* you do to strive towards a goal of being well balanced and symmetrical in your whole life? Do you feel that is a worthwhile goal? Or does today’s quote seem trite?
Happy Journaling!
