Journal Writing Prompt: Determination

By Dee · Friday, September 30th, 2005

“We all have dreams. But in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort.”

~Jesse Owens

In your journal, write about your dreams. What do you want to do with your life that you aren’t already doing? What would you like to achieve? Where would you like to go? Now, write about how you are going about making that happen. Are you determined & dedicated? Are you making a daily effort to reach for your dreams and beyond?

Journal Writing Prompt Bonus: How do you perceive determination? Is it a belief that you will do it at any cost - at all costs? Or, for you, is determination a mindset that says you will do whatever it takes - unless it harms someone else? Write about your definition of determination in your journal, and how determined & dedicated you feel you are to daily tasks and to achieving your dreams.

Happy Journaling!
