Journal Writing Prompt: Fear
January 2nd, 2006“Fear does not have any special power unless you empower it by submitting to it.”
~Les Brown
Fear is definitely a life blocker. I have a very good friend, Kim, who always reminds me that fear is the opposite of faith. And, the interesting thing to me is that so many people let fear stop them dead in their tracks. When, in actuality, fear only has the power that you give it. If you simply keep walking by faith, fear will not stop you, it will lose all of its power in your life.
In your journal, write about any fear that is stopping you from doing what you know you should do, and then write the very worst thing that could happen (your worst fear realized). Take a look at your list again, and consider how realistic your worst fear really is.
Journal Writing prompt bonus: Look at your list one more time, and really think about your fears in relation to those things you are supposed to be doing. What can you do to break through those fears and move back to walking by faith? Write about that as your final thought in this journal entry.
Happy Journalling!
