Journal Writing Prompt: Peace

By Dee · Tuesday, October 31st, 2006

“There is no need to go to India or anywhere else to find peace. You will find that deep place of silence right in your room, your garden or even your bathtub.”

~Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

In your journal, write about today’s quote.  Do you have a place of peace where you are?  If so, describe it and write about how it came to be.  If not, consider why you don’t have one, what your place of peace may look like, and commit yourself to creating one soon.

Journal writing prompt bonus:  What do you think Elisabeth may have meant when she said

“You will find that deep place of silence right in your room, your garden or even your bathtub.”

Do you think she means that you carry it with you all the time?  Do you agree?  Do you think she meant an actual physical place?  What does that “deep place of silence” mean to you?  What does it imply?
Happy Journaling!
