Journal Writing Prompt: Training
“I hated every minute of training, but I said, don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life a champion.”
~Muhammad Ali
What are you training for? Think beyond the box - further than training your body, or training for an athletic competition. Are you training yourself to control your temper? Are you training yourself to think before you act? Are you training yourself to act without hesitation?
What are you training for? Write about it in your journal.
Daily journal writing prompt bonus: Is your training tough? Are there days when you just want to quit? Quitting is almost always easier than persevering. And, yes, sometimes, training can induce suffering of some kind. But, as Muhammad Ali says in today’s quote - it’s worth it in the end. In your journal, think about what you are training for and write about the difficulties in your training. When you want to quit, how do you stop yourself from quitting? If you quit when you feel the slightest urge to quit (now), how can you change your mindset and continue to persevere through your training, to spend the rest of your life as a champion?
Happy Journaling!
