Journal Writing Prompt: Truth

By Dee · Thursday, January 12th, 2006

“The truth that makes men free is for the most part the truth which men prefer not to hear.”

~Herbert Agar

In your journal, write your “response” to this quote.  Do you believe Mr. Agar is correct or incorrect?  Why or why not?  Have you witnessed a time when the truth was the very last thing anyone wanted to hear, and they seriously “bucked” against it?  Include that in your journal entry.

Daily Journal Writing Prompt Bonus:  Do you have a truth inside you that you are worried about sharing because you know it won’t be “popular”?  What is it?  What is stopping you from sharing it?  What is the worst that can happen if you were to share it?  What is the best thing that could happen if you were to share it? As you answer these questions in your journal, seriously think about your responses, and consider sharing the truth that is inside you.

Happy Journaling!
